Laminated glassLaminated glass is made of two or more than two glass sheets between which are inserted by one layer or multi-layers of PVB with strong cohesion. It is processed under high temperature and pressure. The laminated glass with clear PVB makes the appearance look the same as plain glass but more durable.
Characteristics
Safety: tenacity of PVB is fairly good. While laminated glass is broken by external force, PVB layer absorb the great striking energy and weaken down, thus laminated glass is hard to penetrated and could still remain in the cabinet. Meanwhile, it plays function in shielding wind and rain, thus laminated glass is the true safety glass.
Sound proof performance: PVB can effective prevent from acoustic wave. Acoustic wave can be obviously weaken so that less disturbance of office or living environment.
Anti-UV: Laminated glass have effective prevention from UV, (as high as 99%or above),which can protect the precious furniture, display article, artwork etc from discoloring effected from UV.
Security: Because it is unable to use the glass cutter to cut up laminated glass which have been fixed, and it costs longer time and louder sound using other instruments for penetrating. Therefore, it is rather difficult to enter to house through cutting or smashing laminated glass and it is easy to be discovered. Therefore, laminated glass has a strong resistance function regarding to evil destruction, robbery or violence.
Anti-bullet and anti- explosion :Multi-layer laminated glass can be made into various product of anti-bullet, anti-bombing, anti-explosion.
Hurricane and earthquake resisting : laminated glass’ high persistent and strong cohesion enable the fragments after broken remain in location, thus this glass is suitable in hurricane and earthquake zone.
Application
The characteristics of laminated glass is used extensively in building skylight, overhead line, high curtain wall of window and door, furniture, shop- windows, and aquarium, etc.
